The Japanese men who are seeking more and more ear cleaning parlors
Japanese associate ear-cleaning with their childhood and many of them are willing to pay to return to those carefree days if only for just a few minutes. That's what makes ear-cleaning salons one of the most popular businesses in Japan right now.
Ever since Japan authorities decided to deregulate ear-cleaning as a medical profession, making it available without a medical license, hundreds of salons offering the service started popping up all over the country. The vast majority of clients are men looking to relax their minds after a stressful day, and travel back to the days when they used to rest their heads on their mothers' laps for the occasional ear cleaning session. Three out of four clients claim it's so relaxing they actually fall asleep while the kimono-wearing cleaners excavate the wax out of their ears.
Women who want to work in ear-cleaning salons have to become masters of the “mimikaki” (traditional cleaning tool), so they go through a one week course to acquire the proper ear-cleaning skills. They have to learn to remove just the right amount of ear wax, because it protects the ear canal, lubricates it and has antibacterial and antiviral properties. If all the wax is removed the canal is left vulnerable to a variety of outside threats. (Link | Via)

The woman who charges $60 an hour for spooning
It used to be that a hug was a comforting gesture of companionship between friends or lovers but one woman in Penfield, NY has turned cuddling into a business. Jacqueline Samuel, 29, opened The Snuggery in June 2012, a place where, from upwards of $60, clients can snuggle with the petite Master's student in a strictly non-sexual context.

The company that offers grandmas for rent
Rent-a-Grandma is a real company in Texas and Virginia. Basically, it's babysitting with a clever if not compelling advertising pitch. The company hires older women with childcare experience to provide in-home care.

The email service that anonymously notifies about nose hair if you are too shy to do so
Some people hesitate to approach people and inform them that they should trim their nose hairs. Why? I have no idea. It appears to be some weird social taboo about commenting on other people's body hair. But now it's not necessary to speak up. Chololi, the nose hair email notification service, will send an anonymous message to someone who needs a reminder. (Link | Via)

The company that offers a mobile hangover service in a bus
Hangover Heaven is a pretty simple service to use. The bus runs between 8 AM and 3 PM every day. Once on it, you can choose between two packages. There's Redemption, including intravenous hydration, or Salvation, including intravenous hydration, anti-nausea and anti-inflammatory medications that have been proven to cure hangover effects, and vitamin supplementation. Well, you can't really escape the IV, so you've got to go in there prepared for needles. An appointment can be booked through their website or on the phone, and they will come get you. Once the treatment is complete, you will be dropped off at the same place where you were picked up. Other services include coffee and refreshments on request, and iPads with headphones for entertainment.

This service would be really appropriate to rent for your bachelor party. (Link | Via)

A Sad Story of a Man Who Refuses to Wear Pants!

44-year-old Vladimir Fomin, from Kineshma, a town in Russia’s Ivanovo Region, is a very peculiar man. He became somewhat of a celebrity in his country after he was expelled from the University of Mathematics for refusing to wear pants and walking around in women’s clothing.
Vladimir certainly isn’t the only man in the world who prefers skirts and dresses to pants, but his reasons are definitely unique. He is not gay nor a transvestite, nor does he want to attract media attention. He just wants to stand up for the rights of men to wear whatever kind of clothes they like. After all, women are allowed to wear pants, so why can’t men wear dresses or skirts, why is that regarded as weird? But his fight for the rights of the stronger sex have brought him nothing but trouble. Despite being one of the brightest students at the Ivanovo University of Mathematics and earning a scholarship, he was expelled because of his fashion choices, he was shunned by most of his friends and relatives and even verbally abused and beaten by locals in his home town for walking around in women’s clothes. But in spite of all these problems, Vladimir Fromin continues his fight for the right to dress any way he likes, and hopes to one day be able to walk around in his skirts without being discriminated against. And he has a wardrobe of over 30 women’s garments prepared.

Man sues his wife for being ugly!

A Chinese man divorced and then sued his ex-wife for giving birth to what he called an extremely ugly baby girl, the Irish Times reported.Initially, Jian Feng accused his wife of infidelity, so sure that he could never father an unattractive child.

When a DNA test proved that the baby was his, Feng's wife came clean on a little secret -- before they met, she had undergone about $100,000 worth of cosmetic surgery in South Korea.
Feng sued his ex-wife on the grounds of false pretenses, for not telling him about the plastic surgery and duping him into thinking she was beautiful, The Huffington Post reported.

The kicker? He won. A judge agreed with Feng's argument and ordered his ex-wife to split over $120,000."I married my wife out of love, but as soon as we had our first daughter, we began having marital issues," he told the Irish Times. "Our daughter was incredibly ugly, to the point where it horrified me."

Sushi-scented cologne!

For all you sushi lovers out there, guess what? there is a sushi-scented cologne. Food colognes should make a lot of sense. Food smells good. Perfumes and colognes also smell good. So why is it that every time I try to imagine a sushi-scented cologne, I get dizzy and seasick!

But if you’re totally fine with pissing everyone off within a 3 foot radius, this Sushi cologne by Demeter has apparently been around for a while now. Which shouldn’t be too surprising, considering their scent repertoire includes such concoctions as DirtCrayon and Laundromat
According to the cologne’s website, “Sushi” doesn’t actually smell like fish per se, consisting instead of “just cooked sticky rice and straight from the seaside seaweed, laced with hints of ginger and lemon essences.” But anything outside of a Japanese restaurant that reminds me I’m not currently eating sushi is still enough to be annoying.
What do you think? would you buy one and try it out?

A Humen Hair Dress!

English hairdresser Jodie Breeds has recently created a dress made entirely from human hair, which was worn by Miss England finalist Holly Lyons on the catwalk of the beauty pageant. Jodie apparently came up with the idea for the dress while contemplating how to represent her hair-salon in the Miss England contest. “My business is about hair and beauty so I wanted to represent what we’re about here. So I designed a hair dress, I sketched out the design and my aunty, Margaret Jenner, who’s a dressmaker, made it. It took about six hours altogether,” the hairdresser said. The “blonde” dress was made from hair donated by the salon’s clients and about 10 rows of hair extensions.

Although Holly, who went into the Miss England competition with Jodie Breeds’ salon name, “Miss 24 Carat”, didn’t win, she did manage to turn heads with her unique dress, and also put Jodie’s business on the map. People kept turning up at her place to see the hair garment, claiming they had never seen anything like it before. Now the hair-stylist is thinking of displaying the hairy creation at her salon, because everyone keeps asking to see it.

Chinese IKEA customers make them selfs at home!!

Have you ever walked through an IKEA store thinking about how cool it would be if you could just lay down on one of them soft beds, cover yourself with a fluffy blankets and nap? If you did, then you need to move to China, because that’s what IKEA visitors do over there.

The Chinese simply love IKEA! Millions visit the company’s mainland stores every year, but only a few of them actually end up buying something, as many just come to enjoy the air-conditioning on a hot summer day and take a nap on the comfy furniture on display. ”Some of them even come in once the store opens in the morning, and won’t leave until the store closes in the evening,” a security staff from the IKEA store in Shanghai told Morning Star, but although this sometimes bothers employees, the company hasn’t taken any measures against people making themselves a little too much at home, because it sees it as a future investment. They believe when these people have more consumption power they’ll come back and buy something, but until then they’re free to wander around.

Adult Diapers For Japanese Women To Wear So they Can Avoid Going To The Toilet!

Weird as it may sound, there are people out there who would rather wear an uncomfortable diaper all day long than go to the toilet. Japanese media reports adult diapers are increasingly popular among Japanese women who say wearing them saves them a lot of time.
In an article titled “The Ultimate Form of Slob“, Japanese magazine SPA describes the hottest trend in the Land of the Rising Sun. No, it’s not the brainwave-operated tail for humans, that’s still just a prototype, but something way more unnerving. The masculinization of women has become a very popular topic in Japan, as statistics say more and more females don’t clean their rooms as often as they used to, leave their underwear all over the place and don’t even bother to remove unwanted bodily hair, but one magazine seems to have identified the ultimate slobs – women who wear diapers to avoid using the toilet.

They even interviewed one such girl, 25-year-old Kaori Adachi (pseudonym), who works in a Tokyo real-estate agency. For the last six months she has been wearing diapers to work almost every day, instead of using sanitary tissues after using the restroom. And she doesn’t mean panty liners to prevent leakage, but actual diapers that absorb all the urine, and save her the trouble of going to the bathroom!

Stanley Thornton the 31 year old adult baby!

People often say that in order to lower your stress rate, you need to keep the inner child alive. But what if there was a person who kept it alive all day, every day? Sounds a little weird, but that’s exactly what 31-year-old Stanley Thornton does. He lives a double-life – as an adult outside the house and a baby inside. Some see it as a psychological condition, and others call it a fetish, but Thornton says it’s only his method of letting go of stress.

Thornton’s typical day goes like this: Every night he goes to sleep in his giant crib, dressed in a playsuit, with colorful mobiles hanging from the ceiling. In the morning, his mommy wakes him up and feeds him with a bottle or a spoon. He then changes into adult clothes when he goes outside. But he’s back home in the evening and into his baby clothes again. It’s playtime and he’s occupied with Legos, stuffed animals and a giant high chair. Thornton was 13 years old when he was abused and started wetting the bed at night, so he started wearing diapers. He then gradually began to realize that he liked and wanted all the comforts of babyhood. At age 20, he started day wetting and wearing a diaper full time. The strangest part here is that the woman caring for him is not really his mother!! Sandra Diaz is Thornton’s roommate, and voluntarily cares for him as a mother would for her child. “I love him like he is my favorite nephew,” she says. “He is like my family member who lost his mother, and I’m like the aunt stepping in and saying I’m still here for you.”

Thornton used to go to work as a security guard, but after an accident, he now receives disability benefits for a heart condition. Apparently, he’s not the only one who likes living a baby life. In 2000, he started a website for other ‘adult babies’ where people could find it easy to find mothers and babies. But Thornton is quick to point out that none of these people have any sexual interest, they only derive comfort from living like a baby. “I like to be treated like a baby, just to get the love and affection, safeness, just to go back to a time when you’re caring for a one or two year old.” Stanley says he knows he is over aged and oversized for such childish games, but ever since he was a teenager he has found comfort in his private obsession.

Toilet Phobia!! A Woman Is Terrified She Will Be Swallowed Up When She Flushes

Have you ever heard of a Toilet Phobia? Can you imagine having to ask someone else to flush the toilet for you because you’re too terrified it will swallow you up? That’s exactly what 20-year-old Ney Decino, from Church Village, Wales, has to go through every day.

“The sound of the water sends shivers down my spine. It’s awful. I swear it will swallow me up. Once I’ve flushed, the sound of it and the look of the water going down, it freaks me out,” Ney says. She has had an irrational fear of toilets ever since watching a scene in the 1990 film Look Who’s Talking Too, starring John Travolta and Kristy Alley. It showed a fictional big-eyed, sharp-toothed character called Mr. Toilet Man, who screams it wants the child’s pee. I actually remember that scene, it freaked me out a bit as well, but I got over it pretty quickly. Ney, on the other hand, hasn’t, and she has had to deal with her phobia for most of her life. Her mother said  she only goes to the toilet in public if it’s an absolute emergency, and always tries to find work close to home, so she can use the only toilet she feels safe on. And even there, she has problems flushing if she’s by herself. She will use a friend’s toilet if she has to, but only if they or a family member flush for her. Now, she’s trying to face her fear by setting up a Facebook group and getting in touch with other phobia-sufferers.

“Ever since I saw that film, I’ve been terrified. When I was about 11 I wet myself on my way home because I wouldn’t use the loo at school. I was so embarrassed, I’d waited four hours but I just wouldn’t use another toilet. I just wanted my mum to be there so she could flush it for me,” Ney remembers. She says the pressure rises as soon as she walks into the bathroom, and builds up until she leaves. “I just flush and run. She washes her hands in the kitchen because she can’t even stand being in the same room as the toilet cistern fills up.

Strange Addiction: Eating Sponges and Soap!

21-year-old Kerry Trebilcock is doing just the opposite. Actually, what she eats isn’t even food. The young girl from Cornwall eats (yes, eats) soap and sponges. So far, she’s consumed 4,000 washing sponges and over 100 bars of soap. Well, I suppose she at least has super-clean intestines!

As Kerry is suffering from a condition called Pica, which makes her crave things that have nothing to do with food. People with Pica are known to eat a variety of things ranging from metal to sand, and even chalk, coal, light bulbs and furniture. For a long time, Kerry’s diet consisted of sponges dipped in tea or hot chocolate, or spiced up with mustard and BBQ sauce. She would never leave the house without a snack – a small plastic bag of cut up sponges and sauce in a Tupperware.
