Celebrities back to the streets of NYC after hurrican sandy

Heidi Klum, who's usually all decked out in a ghoulish Halloween costume this time of year, was dressed down despite the spooky date on the calendar.
Days after Hurricane Sandy swept through the Northeast, things are still far from normal. In parts of Lower Manhattan – home to many A-listers – residents have been without electricity for days, and many of the other boroughs have been hit even harder.

Under that puffy parka is actor/director Ed Burns, who lives with his wife, model Christy Turlington, and their two children in Tribeca. He used a scooter to make the trek uptown to pick up supplies for his brood.

West Village residents Julianne Moore and her husband, director Bart Freundlich, stepped out for a cup of Joe, and to inspect the damage around the city.

Katie Holmes reportedly rode out the storm in her apartment with daughter Suri by her side, but relocated to an uptown hotel afterward. The New York Post also says that Holmes' scheduled return to Broadway in the show "Dead Accounts" has been put on hold for a week.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos stayed comfy, cozy, and coordinated in puffy jackets as they pounded the pavement in the wake of the storm.

Sarah Jessica Parker was able to keep a smile on her face, despite the fact that her home in the city's West Village lost power during the storm.
